The company began in 1994, when Jack Pester founded Alta Fuels in Denver, Colorado with just seven locations. “Alta”, which translates to high/peak in Italian, is an ode to our beloved home state and its famous mountain ranges. Today, we now have 110+ stores located across Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico and Nebraska, but the original mission remains: offering high-quality goods and services to the communities we love to live in.
We take great pride in taking care of the communities our stores support and strive to make a difference in the lives of our customers, far beyond our stores and daily interactions. We regularly rally our communities to raise money in-store to support both Make-a-Wish and Wings for Life, organizations which we hold close to our hearts. Since 2013, and with the help of generous customers and passionate employees, we’ve been able to raise over $1.3 Million for these impactful organizations.
